Aluwani Mining Fund

The ALUWANI Mining Fund seeks to take advantage of the high growth potential of mining opportunities within Sub-Saharan Africa, as well as unlocking value by improving efficiencies in mining operations and logistics.

The Fund aims to develop economically viable mineral resources that can contribute to sustainable socio-economic growth in respective communities by;

Mining Fund Project Investment Criteria

The Fund is looking to invest in attractive mining projects across commodities such as coal, chrome, iron ore, vanadium and other base metals throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, with primary focus on South Africa. The Fund will consider equity and/or mezzanine debt transactions of no more than R500 million per individual project.

Companies with business opportunities that meet the Funds criteria are encouraged to submit an investment proposal as well as a business plan to aluwani@aluwanicapital.co.za. The submission must include at a minimum the following information:

  • Company profile including registration information, company background, purpose and objectives, ownership and management structure, management CVs, BEE status, products and services as well as value offering
  • Due diligence report of the project including commodity type, relevant mining permit, reserve confirmation, environmental impact assessment and feasibility study, mine plan and a processing plan
  • Financing requirements.

Submissions to the Fund will be reviewed and qualifying companies will be invited to come present their business opportunity to Fund in due course.
